Hello! This is the first alovespec game jam!

What does alovespec mean?

Alovespec is a shortening of alove spectrum / loveless spectrum.

What can I submit?

Anything really! We don't mind, games, zines, music, whatever.

There's also no limit to how many things you can submit. Just please don't spam.

How long does the jam run?

It goes for three weeks, from the 24 of May, at 7 am, to the 14 of June, at 12:59.

Easy to use game engines + other tools!

**Bitsy (https://ledoux.itch.io/bitsy)**made for small games with pixel art, has built in creation tools making art and music.

Decker (https://internet-janitor.itch.io/decker) a multimedia tool perfect for zines and short, 2d clicker games.

**Engine.lol (https://chi.itch.io/enginelol)**a very simple tool with lots of restriction, but is very quick to make a small game with. Is in 2d pixel art and comes with provided assets.

Ren'py (https://www.renpy.org/)requires code and a code editor! Has more possibilities then the others, you'll need to learn a bit about it's coding language, but it's very simple compared to most.

Twine (https://twinery.org/)good for multichoice, short, visual novels. Coding optional, easy to get a hang of.

Bapalon (https://akuma-kira.itch.io/bap)made for making "soup-like games" each room has one roof image, floor image, ceiling image, character at the center, interaction with said character, footstep sound effect, a pet, a second interaction image accessed by Z if we remember correctly. With a couple other things. Put you assets in the template, and your game is done.

Of course, you can use any engine you want! These are just some examples if you needed a place to start
