Ever felt like there's a lack of vampiric horror on itch? No? But we did!
In our first run, 40 of you answered the call of the night... but only 3 brave souls managed to beat the sunrise and submit their games.
Game dev is tough, so this time, we are focusing on survival. Keep your scope small, stay focused, and let's cross that finish line together!
Think oppressiveheatwaves, buzzing cicadas, abandoned coastal towns, and something ancient hunting in the muggy shadows. We want you to capture the terror of a predator that doesn't just stalk the gothic winter nights, but thrives in the cursed twilight ofsummer.
The theme is already set:
This jam is all about blood, mystery, and genuine horror set against a sweltering summer backdrop: Summerween.
Have an unfinished game from our last jam, or a half-baked prototype rotting in your hard drive? Dig it up! You are completely welcome and encouraged to use your old code and assets. Your only task is to adapt them to fit the new Summerween vibe. Take that gothic mansion and retexture it into an eerie beachfront motel, or change your endless night into a sweltering, cursed heatwave.
Last time, our heavy emphasis on 3D acted like garlic and repelled too many of you. Let's clear the air: 2D, 3D, 2.5D, isometric, text-basedβif it bites, it counts. Use whatever tools, engines, and dimensions your undead heart desires to bring your world to life.
We believe in the power of community to help you actually reach the finish line.Join our Discord to share your progress, find team members, and get feedback. Rate, comment, support - and help drag your fellow devs out of development hell before the deadline burns them up!

Horror β atmosphere, tension, and fear factor.
Innovation β fresh ideas, unique mechanics, and unexpected elements.
Stakes β intensity, player engagement, and dramatic weight.
