ISLANDS! ISLANDS!! ISLANDS!!! is a jam for Islands of Weirdhope, an oceanic standalone expansion to David Blandy's Eco Mofos!!. The setting has opened up to encourage any islands you can think of - so let's imagine!

Our goal is to write islands that are easy to drop into games on the weird seas; entries should fit on one double sided piece of Letter or A4 paper, ideally in Landscape orientation (including map/art, if available), but should have at least a few interesting things for players to interact with!

This jam will run from March 30th until June 1st, 2026

Rules

• Entries have to be in English or have a translation available
• You are allowed to submit multiple entries; collaboration is highly encouraged!
• No bigotry and no AI
• Entries should be free/pay what you want and/or have a free option, even if it's a text-only version

All submissions will be collected into a booklet after the jam which will be available digitally; link to the booklet page will be posted here after the jam finishes.

If you do not want your entry in the booklet, please let me know either in your island's page or via DM. We would love to see what you come up with regardless!

• A spark table for general island theme - again fully optional, if you roll something on this table and thinking through the result helps you think of a better idea, go with the one you like best! Instructions (optional): Roll two six sided die; the first determines the subtable, and the second the specific entry (a roll of 2 and then 5 would result in Cozy). Do this 1-3 times, stopping when you have a neat idea or get to 3. The 1-3 prompts you roll can be used as guideposts while writing your island.
